Monday:  Gym.  Wear your pajamas today! Letter P Beginning: pail, paintbrush, pajamas, pan, pancake, paper, parachute, parrot, paste, peanut butter, peanuts, pear, pen, pencil, penny, pie pan, pig, pillow, pinecone, pizza, placemat, plate, pocket, popcorn, postcard, potato, pumpkin, pupper, puppy.  We will learn how people get along with each other. 


Tuesday:  Technology.  Letter P Ending:  clamp, sheep, clasp, stamp, strap, scoop, strip, scrap, jump rope, soap, trap, tarp, stop, wasp, snap, poop, mop, cop, hip, lip, pop, pup, syrup, burlap, cap, ketchup, pickup, laptop, shrimp, scallop, clip, turnip.  Harvest/Reformation Party starting at 1:15.  All parents are invited to attend!   If you would like to bring a treat to pass out you may.  


Wednesday:   Chapel.  We will learn what Native Americans used for musical instruments.  We will make drums today.  

 


Thursday:   Art.  Short A Beginning:  apple, alligator, astronaut, ax, acrobat, apricot, add, ask, adult, alley.

We will make a Native American Wigwam.  


Friday:  Gym.  Please return the book, “The Tree” as they will read it to me!  Scholastic News. Short A Anywhere:  bat, bag, hat, cat, pan, pad, sack, map, dad, sand, grass, rag, rat, backpack, ram.

The Week of October 23rd.....

 Student of the Week:  Emerson


Friday’s Memory:   none because of VIP Day.  


Monday:  Gym.  Letter M Ending:  name, perfume, trim, clam, ram, time, dime, slime, Slim Jim, mom, ham, farm, plum, lime, jam, worm, arm, stem, poem.  We will learn how people traveled, got water, and went to the bathroom long ago. 


Tuesday:  Technology.  We will learn how people bathed and got clothes long ago.  


Wednesday:    Letter D Beginning:  daisy, dandelion, deer, diaper, dice, dime, dinosaur, dishpan, dog, doll, domino, donkey, door, doughnut, dress, drum, duck, dustpan.  We will learn how things people wrote with, printing press, and now computer.

Thursday:   Art.  Letter D Ending:  food, ad, grade, seed, weed, cod, reed, gold, hundred, blood, beard, child, award, reed, band aid, band.  Scholastic News.  


Friday:  Please return the book, “Animal Tracks”.  VIP Day!  School dismisses at 11:30

The Week of October 16th....

Monday:  Gym.  We will learn that pumpkins start out as seeds and grow on vines.  We will make a pumpkin today.  


Tuesday:  Technology.  Panera Fundraiser for PTO from 4-7 on Wilder.  We will test over all the letters. We will see what happens when a pumpkin is dropped softly or hard.   We will do a craft with pumpkins. 


Wednesday:   Chapel.  Letter S Beginning:  sack, sailboat, sand, sandpaper, scale, scarf, scissors, seashell, seeds, shirt, shoe, sled, snake, soap, sock, spider, sponge, spoon, stamps, star, string, suitcase.  We will make felt pumpkins today.    

 

Thursday:   Art.   Letter S Ending:  gas, bus, lips, walrus, press, grass, pass, brontosaurus, cross.  Scholastic News.  


Friday:   Memory.  Gym.  Michigan/MSU Dress Day (maize and blue or green and white will work too).  Please return the book, “Shapes”.  Letter M Beginning: macaroni, magazine, magnet, magnifying glass, mailbox, map, maraca, mask, milk carton, mirror, mitten, monkey, monster, moon, mop, motorcycle, mouse, muffin tin, music box.  We will leave for our field trip at 12:20.  Parents please be here by 12:15 with your drivers licenses.

The Week of October 9th....

 Student of the Week:  Cooper (he will be for two weeks because of the short week)


Friday’s Memory: Let My people go, that they may serve Me.  Exodus 9:1


Monday:  Gym.  Young 5’s have a test over patterning.  We will learn about bumping bowling pins and batting a ball.  We will bowl in the room and go outside to bat the ball..  


Tuesday:  Technology.  We will learn what happens when we bump things.  We will set up dominoes to see what happens when we bump it.  


Wednesday:   Chapel.   We will make ramps and see what happens to cars if we use a ramp.   

 

Thursday:   Art.   We will make a marble run in the room and see if we make it correctly for the marble to go down the shoot!  


Friday:   Memory.  Gym.  Please return the book, “Colors”.  Scholastic News.
