The Week of February 25th

Daily Events: Wednesday’s Memory: Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. Psalm 107:1 Friday’s Memory: Sing praises to God, sing praises. Psalm 47:6 Monday: Music with Miss Abraham. We will make lions. Tuesday: Gym: basketball. Math test over money and time. Letter Y Beginning: yacht, yak, yam, yardstick, yarn, yogurt, yo-yo. We will make lambs. We will guess what we think March will come in like, a lion or a lamb. Wednesday: Memory. Spanish. Art: We will make a smelly art project with Jello. Letter V beginning: vacuum cleaner, valentine, van, vase, Velcro, velvet, vest, vine, vinegar, violets, violin, volleyball. We will learn about elephants. We will make “Elmer”. Thursday: Chapel. Library. Computers. Letter V Ending: shave, stove, love, dove, dive, wave, move, pave, clove, cave, Dave. We will make different kinds of cats today. Friday: Spanish. Please return the book, “Corky”. AIMS testing today. Test over mammals. We will make a raccoon today.

The Week of February 18th

Tuesday: Gym: basketball. Smelly things due!! We will smell different things in containers and see if we like the smell. We will add pictures of things we like to smell in our senses books. Wednesday: Memory. Spanish. Art: We will make a smelly art project with Jello. Letter E Short sound beginning: egg, egg beater, elephant, elevator, elf, engine, envelope, elephant, elevator, elf, engine, envelope. We will learn about tasting. We will add this to our senses book. We will taste salty, bitter, sweet, and sour things today! Thursday: Chapel. Library. Computers. Short E anywhere: pet, vet, hen, pen, wren, ten, lemon, deck, edge, egg, elbow, left, leg, umbrella, elephant, bell, well, melon, felt, desk, red, bed. We will touch different things in bags and try to figure out what it is. We will add this to our books. Friday: Please return the book, “Quin and the Jets”. Spanish. Letter Q Beginning: quail, Quaker Oats box, quarter, queen, question mark, quill, quilt, Q-Tips. We will have a test over the five senses. We will make a book about the 5 senses.

We will cut things out of magazines that we hear. We will see if we can guess some sounds of animals. Wednesday: Memory. Spanish. Art: we will paint a picture with cool color on one side and warm colors on the other side. We have Jump for Hearts and our Valentine Party in the afternoon! Friday: No School today!!

Friday is Beach Day!

It is 16 degrees outside and we are wearing shorts!! Needless to say we are staying inside today.

We will learn about Martin Luther King Jr. Cowboy Dress-Up Day! Tuesday: Gym: jump roping. We will learn about George Washington. Wednesday: Memory. Spanish. Art: we will paint cool colors. We will learn about Abraham Lincoln. 100 things due today! Thursday: Chapel. Library. Computers. We will have a test over the differences between George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. We will look at different American Symbols around the country, like the Liberty Bell, Mt. Rushmore, Statue of Liberty, and the White House. Friday: Memory. Spanish. We will read, “Liz and Tad” to Mr. Garcia’s class. We will learn about the 5 senses.
