The Week of October 14th

Snack Week:  Colton’s

Memory: For those who love God, all things work together for good.  Romans 8:28

Monday:   Chapel.  Letter Z Day:  zambonie, zebra, zero, zinnia, Zip Code, zipper, zither, zoo, zucchini, zwieback.  We will learn the parts of an apple tree.  We will make apple muffins today.

Tuesday:  Gym.  Computers.  Library.  Test over all letters A-Z.  We will learn the seasons of an apple tree.  We will make an apple tree to use for our picture book for our apple orchard.  We will make apple pie today. 

Wednesday:   Computers.  Spanish.  AIMS Testing.  We will learn the parts of an apple.  We will test different apples.  

Thursday:   Gym.  Art.  We will learn about Johnny Appleseed today.    

       

Friday:  Memory. Art.  Spanish.   Field trip to African Children’s Choir.  Letter S Beginning:  sack, sailboat, sand, sand paper, scale, scarf, scissors, seashell, seeds, shirt, shoes, sled, snake, soap, sock, spider, sponge, spoon, stamps, star, string, suitcase. 

The Week of October 7th

Snack Week:  Charlie’s

Memory:  Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens.  Psalm 36:5

Monday:    Chapel.  Letter U Day:   ukulele, umbrella, umpire, uncle, underwear, unicorn, unicycle, uniform. We will add the intestines to our bodies in the hallway. 

Tuesday:  Gym.  Library.  Computers.  Letter V Day:  vacuum cleaner, valentine, van, vase, Velcro, velvet, vest, vine, vinegar, violets, violin, volleyball.   We will watch the Magic School Bus Movie, “Gets Eaten.” 

Wednesday:  Computers.  Spanish.  Music.  Letter W Day:   wagon, wallet, wallpaper, walnut, washcloth, wastebasket, watch, watermelon, waxed paper, whale, wheel, whisk broom, windmill, window, wishbone, wood.  We will add our bones to our bodies so we have shape!   

Thursday:   Gym.  Art.  Letter X Day: x-ray, xylophone, x’s.    We will add the muscles to our bodies.  These allow us to move. We will watch Magic School Bus, “Flexes Its Muscles”. 

Friday:  Spanish.  Art.  Please return the “Shape” books.  Letter Y Day:   yacht, yak, yam, yardstick, yarn, yogurt, yo-yo.   We will color clothes on our bodies to protect the insides!

Lungs

We breathe in oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide.  We used balloons....

Our Hearts

We listened to our friends hearts.  We did exercises to see what happened to our heart beats...it got really fast!

The Week of September 30th

Snack Week:  Calvin’s

Monday:   Chapel.  Letter Q Day:  quail, Quaker Oats box, quarter, queen, question mark, quill, quilt, Q-Tips.  We will add our brain to our bodies and learn what it controls. 

Tuesday:  Gym.  Computers.  Library.   Letter R Day: rabbit, radio, raft, rag, raincoat, rainbow, raisins, rake, rattle, reindeer, ribbon, ring, robot, rock, rocket, roller skates, rolling pin, rooster, rope, rug, ruler.    We will add our hearts to our bodies and learn what it does for us!   

Wednesday:  Computers. Spanish.  Letter S Day: sack, sailboat, sand, sand paper, scale, scarf, scissors, seashell, seeds, shirt, shoes, sled, snake, soap, sock, spider, sponge, spoon, stamps, star, string, suitcase.   We will add the lungs to our bodies.  We will try and blow up balloons. 

Thursday:   Gym.  Art.   Test over letters A-S.   Letter T Day:  tablecloth, tambourine, tape, teapot, teddy bear, telephone, television, tennis racket, ticket, tiger, tooth paste, toothbrush, top, tractor, train, tray, tree, triangle, tricycle, truck, t-shirt, turtle.  We will add our stomach to our bodies.  Parent/Teacher Conferences this evening. 

Friday:  School dismisses at 11:30 today.  Parent/Teacher Conferences this afternoon.  Letter T Day:  tablecloth, tambourine, tape, teapot, teddy bear, telephone, television, tennis racket, ticket, tiger, tooth paste, toothbrush, top, tractor, train, tray, tree, triangle, tricycle, truck, t-shirt, turtle. “Colors” book due back.
