The Week of November 4th

Snack Week: Gatlin’s

Friday’s Memory:  Love the Lord your God, and serve Him with all your heart.  Deuteronomy 11:13

Monday:  Chapel.  Short A Beginning: acrobat, alligator, anchor, ant, apple, astronaut, avocado, ax. We will leave for our field trip at 12:15. 

Tuesday:  Gym.  Computers.  Library.    Short A Anywhere:  acrobat, album, alligator, ant, apple, astronaut, avocado, ax, hat, cat, mat, rat, ham, ram, hand, fan, pan, jam, bat, black.  The Native Americans in the Northwest made totem Poles, so we will talk about them and then will make one. 

Wednesday:  Computers. Spanish.  We will start writing short A words today!   We will learn about clothes.   We will make moccasins today. 

Thursday:   Gym.  Art.   We will make short A words.  We will read, “The Indian Paintbrush”  and make a picture about it!  

Friday:  Memory. Spanish.  Art.  We will read “We Go” book.  AIMS testing today.  We will learn what they used for musical instruments.   We will make drums today.

The Week of October 28th

Monday:   Chapel.  Letter D Beginning:  daisy, dandelion, deer, diaper, dice, dime, dinosaur, dishpan, dog, doll, domino, donkey, door, doughnut, dress, drum, duck, dustpan.  We will learn about the different seeds of trees.  We will paint colorful trees.  

Tuesday:  Gym.  Computers.  Letter D Ending: hand, pad, sod, rod, dad, food, seed, raid, tide, grid, ground, gold, card.  We will do leave rubbings and make fans from them. 

Wednesday:  Computers.  Spanish. Wear your pajamas to school today!  Letter P Beginning:  pail, paintbrush, pajamas, pan, pancake, paper, parachute, parrot, paste, peanut butter, peanuts, pear, pen, pencil, penny, pie pan, pig, pillow, pine cone, pizza, placemat, plate, popcorn, post card, potato, pumpkin, puppet, puppy.  We will paint candy corn and try it too. 

Thursday:  Gym.  Art.  Letter P Ending: cap, wipe, hip, trip, ship, cup, sap, sheep, pop, mop.  We will learn about Reformation Day!  Halloween Costumes can be changed into or worn all day. (I would prefer them to change.)

Friday: Spanish.  Art.  Memory.  Please return the book, “Flowers.”  We will make pictures with leaves.
